Fig and Olive, Mallorca, Spain, Digital Photograph

Artist Biography

My artistic medium of choice is digital photography; my subjects are primarily botanical, rendered in the classic black-and-white genre. I'm an artist and designer and exhibit my work in regional and national juried exhibits throughout Connecticut and New York City. My formal training in the arts and design was during my university years, and I studied photography under Jack Sal, a celebrated international conceptual artist. Later, I worked as a graphic designer in the collateral design field. These early studies and experiences built a foundation for my lifelong passion for the arts.

I'm committed to utilizing art and design to serve causes and my community. As part of that commitment, I previously served for over five years on the governing board of Connecticut Women Artists, Inc., as the organization's web designer and content strategist. To fulfill my passion for working as a visual designer, I launched De Lucia Creative, LLC, my website design and consulting services enterprise for artists and small business.

I live in Connecticut, in picturesque New England, the Northeast region of the United States. My current projects include creating a new body of work to be published in printed book format.
